Job Description

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans for the assigned locations to achieve and exceed sales targets and market share goals.
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a sales team to ensure they are aligned with company goals and objectives.
  • Monitor and analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and customer preferences to identify opportunities for growth and market penetration.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key clients, distributors, and retailers to drive business expansion and maintain customer loyalty.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to develop and implement effective promotional strategies, product launches, and marketing campaigns within the region.
  • Provide regular sales forecasts, reports, and analyses to senior management, highlighting performance, opportunities, and challenges.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and ensure ongoing training and development of the sales team.
  • Drive operational excellence by overseeing inventory management, order fulfillment, and timely resolution of customer issues.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant industry regulations, policies, and guidelines in the tobacco sector.

The Successful Applicant

  • Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales in consumer-driven industries (FMCG, Tobacco) with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Previous experience in a leadership or managerial role, with demonstrated success in team management, coaching, and development.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data, trends, and market insights.
  • Results-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Ability to travel within the region as needed.
