Private banking (PB)

HSBC Private banking provides personal relationship management including integrated banking, investment and wealth advisory services to high net worth clients and their families around the world. We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team.


In this role, you will:


1. Establish and lead the team of wealth planners to drive onshore family trust business for GPB in China.

2. Provide comprehensive advice for HNW and UHWN clients, with consideration to all aspects of wealth planning

3. Close collaboration with clients, their legal and tax advisers, Wealth Planners (both within team and across all regions) and private bankers

4. Monitoring trends in the wealth planning industry and the respective regions, making sure these are communicated via Private Wealth Solutions and supervising the implementation of necessary changes in order to achieve the long term goals of the individual and his or her family

5. Reviewing and drafting necessary pitch books and client presentations, corresponding legal, trust and other documentation

6. Close collaboration with HSBC Private Banking and or group affiliates providing the Private Wealth Solutions proposition and enable them to grow their client base

7. Training and ongoing education of the above

8. Support Global Private Banking business through structured account planning with Relationship Managers and Investment Counsellors

9. Grow annuity revenues in Private Wealth Solutions in China and manage disciplined pipeline management

10. Take lead to any projects in relation to the above, as appropriate, and further strategize the future growth areas of wealth planning


Requirements

To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:


1. Professional experience preferable in a law firm or in a financial institution or Family Office or Trust Company

2. Knowledge in the area of local and international tax, private and international law and inheritance and family law

3. Good understanding of client mentality and business culture in China and Asia region

4. Strong ability to make research and comprehensive due diligence of individuals and structures

5. In depth knowledge and experience of a broad spectrum of financial planning instruments, trust, private trust companies

6. Local and overseas wealth planning experience
